Welcome to my collection of Botanical Art, Illustrations & Handmade Dolls

I completed a Natural History Illustration course in the 90's & have continued to paint consistently since then, exhibiting & selling illustrations.

I live & work in a beautiful rural part of the Algarve, Portugal. My time is shared between painting, teaching art & Pilates, & homing stray cats & dogs. Whilst walking my furry friends, I'm inspired by & work with the beauty & decay of the seasonal nature around me.

In recent years I've focused more on detailed Botanical studies in watercolour, a sensitive medium that I find ideal for delicate, descriptive studies. These paintings can take many hours of work, slowly building depth of colour & detail.

I've exhibited with The Society of Botanical Artists & in 2019 was awarded a Fellow membership with them. I'm also a member of the Algarve Society of Artists.

When time allows I also love designing & creating the handmade dolls. They are for decorative purposes only. You can choose from designs already displayed on the site or I can make a creature to a colour scheme you prefer.

Many thanks for visiting my site.
